The Faculty of Clinical Radiology Council within The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists is seeking an independent consumer representative to join their Safety, Quality and Standards Committee.

The committee is responsible for representing and advancing the interests of college members who are clinical radiologists. It is guided by these principles:

  • ensuring they are acting in the best interests of patients
  • providing high-quality healthcare
  • upholding the integrity of the profession of Clinical Radiology, RANZCR and the Faculty of Clinical Radiology. The other members of the committee are radiologists. 

This is an exciting new role that will provide much needed independent and outside perspective to the functions of the committee. 

The position is based in Sydney and will be remunerated. The committee meets four times per year, including one face-to-face, all-day meeting (usually in February) and the rest by teleconference. There may also be information sent around out-of-session for review and comment.

Their next meeting is on Wednesday, 23 August. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
