Who: STREAM Health
Role description: We are seeking applications from suitably experienced individuals who are interested in becoming a Consumer Partner to help us reduce the burden of Musculoskeletal (MSK) disease in the community. You will be working with clinicians and researchers on important projects across South Western and South Eastern Sydney Local Health Districts, Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, and St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. You will become a Consumer Partner of an advisory group which will guide the work of the Sydney Translational Research and Education Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health (STREAM Health) committee and working groups in the areas of Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis and Back Pain.
The group will help shape the direction of current and future research and clinical care in musculoskeletal health. If your application is successful, we will provide a free, 2-day workshop that will assist you to increase your confidence and knowledge of the NSW health system. This workshop will be run by the Health Consumers NSW team.
About you: Previous experience in health research is NOT required to be a part of our ambitious team. But we do require committed individuals who are passionate about improving musculoskeletal health for the community, and who would like to participate in MSK research and clinical care.
Consumer Partners will be warmly welcomed and supported by the members and partners of STREAM Health. The advisory group will meet quarterly and you will have the opportunity to participate in individual research projects and initiatives.
