Join advisory committee on shared care and exchanging health information using digital health systems (My Health Record)
Deadline: Monday, 6 July 2020
Be a consumer representative on the SNPHN My Health Record Test Bed Project Advisory Committee.
SNPHN was recently chosen by the Australian Digital Health Agency to trial new approaches to healthcare delivery using digital health technologies under the federal government’s digital health test bed program.
SNPHN is looking for health consumer representatives to join the Advisory Committee overseeing two test beds projects over a period of 3 years.
The Advisory Committee oversees the following two test beds:
- The Aged Care project will accelerate an already progressing effort in the Sydney North region to use Secure Messaging and My Health Record to connect Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) with General Practice, Pharmacy and Acute Care Hospital Avoidance providers, and to shift the focus to the My Health Record as a primary conduit for exchanging health information.
- The Specialist project will accelerate efforts in the Sydney North region to enhance shared care models by driving an increase in the digital maturity of private specialists through engagement with My Health Record.
All you need to bring is your experience in delivering/receiving health services in Northern Sydney. Your role will be to provide advice on barriers and enablers to the uptake of digital health technology relevant to Secure Messaging Delivery and My Health Record. This will assist with the development of the project to embed these technologies into workflows to electronically and securely share important patient information.
You should have experience interacting with the aged care or health specialist system, along with an interest in digital health and My Health Record.
The Advisory Committee currently meets quarterly with the next proposed meeting date in August (date and time TBC). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings have been held via Zoom and the delivery method for the next meeting is yet to be finalised.
SNPHN will pay travel costs and a sitting fee of $104 per hour. While no formal training or mentoring is provided, the SNPHN has a team dedicated to the test bed projects that can assist you with any queries.
