Monday, 25 to Friday, 29 April is Patient Experience Week.

In celebration of the power of patient stories, we are launching our Intersections Project report and website, including intersectional healthcare stories and insights from people with intersectional needs. These people received – or tried to receive – healthcare in NSW.

People with ‘intersectional needs’ are people identify as – or have lived experience of – being a member of more than one group that often has been treated badly when seeking healthcare. Too often people with intersectional needs have fallen through the cracks or been put into the ‘too hard’ basket.

We will also run an Intersections Project webinar during Patient Experience Week. You will hear from our Intersections Project Manager, Dr Gávi Ansara, about the project and the recommendations in our report as well as our Executive Director Dr Anthony Brown.
