- Provide training staff and health consumers about how to improve your ability and capacity to engage directly with health services
- Providing training to staff and management about how to improve your organisation’s engagement with members and consumers
- Working in partnership to design and implement tailored responses to your consumer and community engagement needs

- Providing resources, tools and information on consumer and community engagement
- Providing informal support and information
- Promoting your initiatives through our communication channels.

- Brokering strategic opportunities for health consumers from your organisation to be part of appropriate boards or committees
- Invitations to member briefings and updates on relevant health initiatives and policies through our members-only CEO forum

Health Consumers NSW can assist health services in developing and improving their consumer and community participation through:
- Providing training to staff and health consumers representatives about consumer engagement
- Working in partnership to design and implement tailored responses to your consumer and community engagement needs
- Recruiting and training health consumer representatives to sit on your boards or committees
- Providing resources, tools and information on consumer and community engagement
- Providing informal support and information.
