Dr Gávi is passionate about making sure all people with long-term health care needs can achieve health engagement, access, and equity. Gávi received the American Psychological Association’s Transgender Research Award for original and significant research, the UK Higher Education Academy’s National Psychology Postgraduate Teaching Award for excellence in teaching, and the University of Surrey Vice Chancellor’s Alumni Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to policies and standards in international human rights and social justice. He is a Polycultural Psychotherapist and Relationship & Family Counsellor at Imanadari Counselling. Gávi brings a warm, validating, and trauma-informed approach to engaging with people’s diverse life experiences.
