What is Long-COVID?
Long-COVID is defined by the World Health Organisation as:
An illness that occurs in people who have a history of probable or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection; usually within 3 months from the onset of COVID-19, with symptoms and effects that last for at least 2 months.
About the project
Health Consumers NSW is partnering with the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) to better understand the community perspective and experience of Long-COVID.
Health Consumers NSW and ACI will use the feedback from the consultation to develop models of care for people with Long-COVID in NSW.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who:
- are over 18 years of age
- have an experience of long-COVID
- Live in NSW
- are able to access a virtual focus group via Zoom
- are willing to commit time to attend focus groups.
What is involved?
We are looking for people to spend 90 minutes attending an online focus group where they will share their experiences with long-COVID and perspectives on receiving healthcare. If successful, applicants will be contacted to attend one of two sessions to be held on 15 September and 20 September (only one session needs to be attended). You can withdraw at any time.
