Invitation to join the Musculoskeletal Health Consumer Community Council
Who: SPHERE Musculoskeletal Health Clinical Academic Group
Are you ready to volunteer as a consumer representative and help guide research into musculoskeletal health?
The SPHERE Musculoskeletal Health Clinical Academic Group Consumer Community Council is seeking applications from individuals who are interested in becoming a consumer partner to help reduce the burden of those living with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
If successful, you will be working with healthcare professionals and researchers on important projects across South Western and South Eastern Sydney Local Health Districts, and their affiliated universities and research institutions.
The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Consumer Community Council was established in 2018 to lead consumer and community engagement and ensure active participation of consumers with MSK researchers and health professionals. The Consumer Community Council acts as the expert reference group for the SPHERE MSK Health Clinical Academic Group (CAG), and helps shape the direction of current and future research and clinical care in musculoskeletal health.
If your application is successful, you will be provided with training and mentoring which will increase your confidence and knowledge of the NSW health system, consumer participation and research. Previous experience and knowledge of health research is NOT required to be a part of our ambitious and engaged team. We do however require you to be committed and passionate about improving musculoskeletal health for the community, and interested in collaborating with MSK researchers and health care professionals. The Council meets bi-monthly.
Interested? If you are interested or would like further information, please email Dr Kate Luckie: firstname.lastname@example.org.
