Have you used or supported someone to use NSW Ambulance services?
Would you like to help the NSW ‘Ambos’ create their community engagement?
Health consumer representative opportunity
Thank you for your interest, however applications to be part of both these groups are now closed.
Who: NSW Ambulance and Nous Group
The NSW Ambulance Service is currently designing their community engagement frameworks and plans and are planning a Patient Service Charter.
They are looking for people who have used the ambulance service and would like to be involved. This is a paid consumer representative opportunity. You can be part of two (2) different groups, choose one or both.
1) Consumer and Community Engagement Plan
Thank you for your interest, applications to be part of this first group – to help design the Consumer and Community Engagement Plan – are now closed (as at 5pm Monday 14/11/2022). However if you’d like to be part of the second group – to help design the Patient Service Charter – please see information and online application form below:-
2) Patient Service Charter
Have you used or supported someone to use NSW Ambulance services? Would you like to help develop the Patient Service Charter?
Take part in design workshops
Design workshops will be facilitated by Nous Group to co-create a Patient Service Charter with patients and carers alongside NSW Ambulance program owners. This Charter will lay out patient rights and responsibilities in their engagement with NSW Ambulance.
Who are they looking for?
Up to 20 previous NSW Ambulance patients and carers across:
- geographies (urban/rural/regional/remote)
- backgrounds (culturally and linguistically diverse groups, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples)
- socioeconomic status and ability
- age groups (including younger and older consumers)
- carers
Note that NSW Ambulance stakeholders will also participate in these workshops
What is the role of members?
- Participate in a 3-hour design workshop
- Likely remote (online) participation
- Also invited to participate in a follow-up, 3-hour testing workshop where we will test materials developed following the design workshop (preferred but not required)
- Some preparation in the form of pre-reading may potentially be required for effective participation in sessions
