Real, respectful partnerships between health consumers, clinicians and health services are the best way to improve the health system. We work to achieve this through working in partnership with others, especially our members, community groups and of course directly with health services.
We are also interested in developing research partnerships with universities and other research institutions.
If you are interested in partnering with us please contact us.
HCNSW has a number of networks that bring together HCNSW members with a shared interest. Networks meet bi-annually and are a vital link to keep HCNSW informed about the concerns of health consumers, their carers and families.
From time to time we run campaigns that help improve consumer and community engagement.
We do not run campaigns around a particular disease or group in the population (we leave that important work to our member organisations) but are happy to support such campaigns when they align with HCNSW’s mission and values.
Health Consumers NSW works with health services in NSW to help improve their consumer and community engagement. This could be through helping establishing consumer committees; reviewing existing engagement policies, procedures and processes; or providing tailored training to health consumer representatives and staff.
