Rural reps wanted – join nursing committee at Charles Sturt University
Deadline: Tuesday, 23 April 2019
Who: Charles Sturt University, School of Nursing Midwifery and Indigenous Health
The Nursing External Advisory Committee at Charles Sturt University’s School of Nursing Midwifery and Indigenous Health is looking for consumer, community and carer representatives to join the committee.
The committee provides a consultative forum for key stakeholders of the School to discuss the ongoing development, delivery, review, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses at Charles Sturt University
A key focus of the Nursing External Advisory Committee is to consider how the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses offered by the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health, can best serve the needs of the profession, students, consumers of health services, industry stakeholders, and the community as a whole.
The University has campuses in Bathurst, Dubbo, Wagga and Albury and would ideally be seeking a representative from one of these areas. Attendance at the meetings via videoconference from any of our campuses can be arranged. If you won’t be able to attend from one of these campuses, teleconferencing can also be organised.
The University will cover travel costs and will pay consumer representatives a sitting fee. The committee usually meets twice per year for two hours, with the first meeting on 8 May and another one in November. Involvement in subcommittees might require further hours.
