Are you looking to explore what it means to effectively and respectfully engage with consumers across all levels of health services? The NSW Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement is back.
We have, again, partnered with the Health Issues Centre in Victoria and the Benchmarque Group to provide the Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement course, specifically tailored for NSW.

When: Thursday, 31 August & Friday, 1 September and Thursday, 14 & Friday, 15 September 2023, 9:30am-4:30pm each day
Where: Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (google map link)
Cost: AUD 2,915.00 (incl. GST) per person
Who should attend?
This four-day course is aligned with the NSQHS – Standard 2 and is nationally accredited. It is for health service staff such as Consumer Engagement Managers and Coordinators, Community Participation Managers and Senior Consumer Leaders. It provides participants with the skills and knowledge to work collaboratively and strategically as consumer engagement professionals, alongside consumers, health services, government bodies and other health-related organisations.

This training helps participants understand the key factors contributing to successful partnerships with consumers and community members and managing operations within a consumer and community engagement framework.
By learning how to support consumer and community engagement through careful and strategic planning, we assist staff to build their confidence in working with consumers and the community to meet the requirements of Standard 2 of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare. By learning to manage and develop systems and structures for consumer and community engagement, participants are equipped to implement organisational consumer and community engagement within their service.
