Health Care Complaints Commission: Focus Group
Thursday 21 April 2022, 10am-12pm
HELP US improve our complaints process
The Health Care Complaints Commission protects the health and safety of individuals and the community. The Commission manages complaints about health services and providers in NSW such as health organisations (like hospitals and clinics), registered practitioners (like doctors, nurses and dentists) and unregistered practitioners (like counsellors, naturopaths and massage therapists). The Commission takes complaints from patients, families, carers and other concerned members of the public. To find out more, visit our website www.hccc.nsw.gov.au
We are seeking 6 health consumers to come in and visit us in our Sydney office for a 2 hour focus group session on Thursday 21 April 2022 from 10am – 12pm. The office is approximately 5 minutes walk from Central Station. Morning tea will be provided.
The session will involve:
- Providing feedback about our existing e-complaints portal and how easy it is to navigate and understand when lodging a complaint.
- Providing feedback about some correspondence we are updating that sets out to acknowledge receipt of a complaint and to explain the process, timeframes and what to expect.
Ideally participants would be new to making a written complaint to HCCC, however it is not essential. Carers are also strongly encouraged to apply.
We would provide a $100 gift voucher to each of the 6 participants to acknowledge their contribution.
