Introduction to Consumer Involvement in Health and Medical Research
Joint training for consumers and researchers
Online Training
Health Consumers NSW (HCNSW) has partnered with NSW Regional Health Partners (RHP) to promote and increase health consumer involvement across NSW RHP’s research activities with the aim of achieving better health, research and community outcomes. As a result, we are running a free online training session for consumers, researchers and clinician researchers on Monday 26 July 2021 from 1-3pm.
Research Training for Consumers and Researchers
This online training is intended as an introduction to consumer involvement in health and medical research. The training is open to consumers and researchers affiliated with NSW RHP.
Please note, there is also a full day face-to-face training course scheduled for Wednesday 25 August 2021 to be held in Newcastle. Therefore, preferential registration for the online training course will be given to those in rural and regional areas of Hunter New England, Central Coast and Mid North Coast Local Health Districts.
Numbers are limited, so please register early.
How does the training work
Participants must be able to commit to a total of three hours of their time, over two weeks. This splits into a two-hour zoom session, 30 minutes to go through preparatory material that will be emailed a week before, and 30 minutes to go through follow-up material and an evaluation that will be emailed a week afterwards.
