Face to Face Training
Health Consumers NSW (HCNSW) has partnered with Western Sydney University (WSU) to promote and increase health consumer involvement across WSU’s research activities with the aim of achieving better health, research and community outcomes. As a result, we are running a free face to face training session for consumers, researchers and clinician researchers on Friday 25 March 2022 9:30am – 3:30pm at Western Sydney University, Campbelltown Campus, Building 11 (room location, campus map, and parking details will be confirmed via email). Parking on campus (yellow parking bays) costs $7. Registration from 9am.
Research Training for Consumers and Researchers
The training is intended for people who are already familiar with the core concepts and principles of consumer and community involvement (CCI) in health research and want to build their skills and knowledge in planning and conducting quality research that embraces CCI. It is open to consumers and researchers affiliated with Western Sydney University.
Numbers are limited, so please register your interest below, ASAP. EOI registration closes at 4pm on Friday 18 March 2022.
How does the training work
Participants will be emailed background/preparatory material to go through a week beforehand. Consumers and researchers, including clinician researchers, will work together during the face to face training.
Please note, COVID-19 Restrictions will apply. Do not attend activity if you are unwell, have been in close contact with a positive case, have been tested and/or been instructed to self-isolate. Facemasks are strongly recommended.
